Jim van Leenen / CEO and President
Jim van Leenen is Flash’s CEO and President. Jim brings to Flash a successful track record as business leader in a number of different countries. Jim, a native of the Netherlands, speaks four (4) languages and has enjoyed international assignments in the Logistics Industry in The Netherlands, UK, France and Canada in addition to the USA. Jim’s broad business experience includes senior leadership roles at GE Capital Equipment services in Canada (Vice President & General Manager) and in Europe (Vice President Operations and Managing Director Corporate Integrations), and Sirva, Inc. where Jim was President Canada as well as President of the International division with operations in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. Jim carries a Six Sigma Green Belt and a strong track record of achievement into his role as CEO at Flash.
I am absolutely intrigued by globalization;…having people from different cultures and countries, with different languages work together toward one common goal based on respect, trust and the recognition that differences determine identity. Respecting those differences can enhance the quality of collaboration. In my business environment I live by, “Hire people who are like you, not who look like you”…diversity is strength and a blessing.

John Hense / COO and CFO
John Hense provides financial and business leadership at Flash through his dual role as COO and CFO. John has a rich background in finance with certification as a CPA and Chartered Accountant and 5 years in public practice. In addition John spent several years leading technology organizations from strategy to execution with a focus on specialized transportation and warehousing. John is a Six Sigma Green Belt and veteran of two successful business startups. John has held the position of CFO and CIO for Allied Canada; COO of Opus Software Canada; Division VP with Sirva and had 5 years of public accounting experience.
With worldwide economy presenting extreme challenges to corporate profitability, enterprise-wide cost control has become a key driver to sustaining strategic value. For this reason, outsourcing is and continues to be an even more compelling option than ever before for our clients and prospective clients, facilitating: reduction in inventory, faster shipping times, improved importation practices, and helping transform data into useful business intelligence. Helping our clients drive these results is a passion for the Flash team.

John T. Miller / Senior VP Global Business Development
John Miller, joining Flash as SVP Global Business Development in August of 2008, brings 17 years of leadership and critical logistics supply chain expertise to the team. John is responsible for sales, marketing and client development for Flash on a global basis. His extensive experience in business development, increasing revenue, market share and account penetration in domestic and global high-tech markets, and leading sales and marketing teams with a progressive leadership style placed him in senior executive roles including Senior Vice President of Business Development with his prior employer, Choice Logistics. John joins Flash following 14 years with Choice Logistics and 2 years with Sonic Air. John’s track record of success in client account development and understanding of client specific requirements is geared toward the critical parts space and driving opportunities for expansion within that space.

These fundamental principles still apply; however the scope of business that now includes global expertise and optimized software solutions has moved global logistics leaders like Flash Global Logistics to the forefront of high tech global service initiatives and solutions. Dennis Moniz / Chief Information Officer
Dennis Moniz has been with Flash Global Logistics since its inception. Dennis implemented the first inventory control information systems for Flash, and was responsible for the successful development of the current web based information systems used at Flash known as FLASHTRAC©. With an educational background in programming and business, Dennis has proven time and again to be able to bridge the gap from customer needs to system developed programs. Dennis is responsible for Global system development driving both Flash internal processes and customer specific requirements.

Design solutions for our customers are critical; I find it imperative to be respondent to the Voice of the Customer in all design creation. Via FLASHTRAC©, our web-based system specifically designed to address the needs of third party mission critical logistics, scalable IT solutions provide our clients the greatest value to their business and address their customers’ needs. Our development process capitalizes upon current technologies to produce the best possible design solutions for our customers, incorporates VOC, and continually delivers the necessary data through future technological developments. Global Access to Real Time Data - What you need, When you need it - will lead the industry in the 3PL market.

David Bertsch / VP Global Client Services
David Bertsch joined the Flash team as Vice President of Global Client Services. David has 13 years of experience in the Mission Critical parts and Partner Relations space while developing and executing supply chain strategies throughout the globe with positions at Cisco and Juniper Networks.  During his tenures, his focus was to seek out and capitalize on state of the art solutions in order to improve global operational efficiency, scalability, and flexibility in diverse regions.  David was able to achieve highly sought after results in some of the most challenging markets in the world.  His success is attributed to performing thorough assessment of the regional business landscape, diligent process and policy development, and fortitude in driving changes when appropriate. More importantly David believes excellence in business is a result of the investment in developing committed and resilient relationships. David holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix and a Masters of Business Administration - Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.
