I am absolutely intrigued by globalization;…having people from different cultures and countries, with different languages work together toward one common goal based on respect, trust and the recognition that differences determine identity. Respecting those differences can enhance the quality of collaboration. In my business environment I live by, “Hire people who are like you, not who look like you”…diversity is strength and a blessing.

Challenges in the current economy force companies to look for cost saving opportunities at every turn - without impeding their growth. Companies that focus on optimizing their capital investment while scaling capabilities globally, require likeminded service providers. Innovation plus optimization for growth equals cost reduction - truly innovative companies turn these cost reduction opportunities into new revenue streams.

Service parts is the lubricant that keeps information flowing. As a result, almost every business is touched by service parts logistics. While users in the United States and other developed countries expect 100% service level from their technology infrastructure the same way they expect dial tone when they pick up their phone, that standard is far from pervasive in a variety of diverse geographies around the world. What will separate the IT winners and losers in this game of increased expectations is the ability to have the right part in the right place in the right condition with the right information on when service will be performed.

In today’s economy, operational excellence is a must for companies to not only succeed, but in many cases, just to be viable. Customers are driving globalization. Emerging markets are becoming the norm. Information is expected at a moment’s notice and systems must be available upon demand. Failures happen and spare parts suddenly become mission critical. The most efficient way to scale a business to meet this demand is by developing strategic partnerships with best in class companies that specialize in this infrastructure and that can extend your operations. Companies who capitalize upon this approach position themselves to be more efficient, easier to do business with, and most importantly, become very responsive to their customers’ needs. These companies will be in a superior position compared to their competitors.
